Free August Calendar Wallpapers

August 2, 2010

We’re a day late, but here’s a couple of Free iPhone Calendar Wallpapers. As per usual, they’ve been created using our MyCal app which has recently been updated and now supports weeks starting on Monday as well as Sunday – so there’s one of each below.

MyCal Infinity

July 28, 2010

The latest version of MyCal, our iPhone Calendar Wallpaper maker app, has just gone live. New features in this update include the much requested ability to start the week on a Monday (for all us Europeans) and, at long last, a lot more flexibility in choosing month and year. Yes, you can now make a calendar for each month for the next few years if that’s the way you roll! Hence the ‘infinity’ symbol on the icon.

We’ve also added a new set of subtly coloured backgrounds to use if you prefer the minimalist look – see the free samples below (yes, we know there’s only a few days of July left – we’ll post some August ones soon).

We’re also semi-supporting the new iPhone 4 retina display. If you want your calendar text to look as crisp as possible take a screengrab of the preview screen rather than saving it. Just press the home and power buttons simultaneously to save a high res version of the screen to your Camera Roll.

Free iPhone July Calendar Wallpapers

July 1, 2010

Wow – July already and over here in the UK we’ve been having a mini heatwave.

Here’s a couple of Calendar wallpapers to get the month off to a good start:

As per usual, they’re created with our MyCal app which is available in the App Store. Enjoy.

MyCal June 2010

June 1, 2010

We’re really sorry about this but the June update of MyCal hasn’t gone live yet.  Apple’s approval process has been getting pretty slow again lately (I guess the iPad launch hasn’t helped).

Hopefully the update will appear today or tomorrow and in the meantime, here’s a couple of wallpapers to keep you going. This month’s images are courtesy of Macrolicious.

We are working on a version of MyCal that allows you to pick any month it’s just a matter of scheduling it in. To be honest we have made/are making so little money from MyCal that other things keep taking priority. Apple’s new policy with updates doesn’t help either. They used to treat updates as new release so you’d jump to the top of the list again, new people would see and buy the app making the upgrade financially worthwhile but so many devs were abusing the system, they stopped it. So now upgrades result in no extra income (which is why so many devs are trying to go down the in-app purchase route).

Anyway, bottom line is we now have the code to do what we want to do with MyCal and are using it in our iPad app PhotoFramePlus (with infinite calendar:) and just need to repurpose it into MyCal along with a few other nice touches (start the week on Monday/Sunday etc.) We promise we’ll get there soon…

iPhone OS 4.0 follow up and wallpaper

April 9, 2010

Well we were pretty happy with the OS 4.0 details revealed yesterday. Multi-tasking looks pretty good so everybody can stop whining about that now.

We got what we wanted in regard to organising apps and better developer access to media libraries. The wallpaper side of things still seems lacking though. OK, you can set a custom wallpaper but not a screen by screen basis and there’s still no word as to what sort of control devs might be able to have (still none, we suspect). Talking of wallpapers, everybody seemed to like the raindrops one that Steve was showing off so we thought you might like to grab a copy now:

We’ve also created a special calendar version for you as well using our MyCal app.

We’ll let you know if we find out anything new and exciting when we’ve had a chance to play with the new SDK. In the meantime, Gizmodo have a great round up of the features revealed so far.

April Wallpapers

April 1, 2010

Here’s this month’s free iPhone Calendar Wallpapers.

As per usual, they’re created using our MyCal App which lets you superimpose calendars over the iPhone wallpaper of your choice…

So far we’ve been concentrating our iPad development energy on PhotoFramePlus but what do you think of an iPad version of MyCal? With all that extra screen space we could certainly fit more calendar info on there as well as other custom data. Let us know what you think…

MyCal April Update

March 29, 2010

We just thought we’d let you know that the latest version of MyCal is available in the App Store now.

The bad news is that it’s just another temporary one month fix. The good news is that the reason for that is that we’ve been busy with our first iPad app which coincidentally has a calendar element to it as well (more on that later). What we’ve learned from that can now be integrated into MyCal, so that we won’t have to keep doing these monthly updates…

March Wallpapers

March 1, 2010

New month, new Free calendar wallpapers

We’re sorry but the latest version of MyCal hasn’t gone live yet – the short month of February must have caught Apple off guard. Hopefully it will appear any moment now but in the meantime, here’s a couple of March wallpapers to keep you going.

As always, they are created with out MyCal app which allows you to superimpose a monthly calendar over the wallpaper image of your choice. Hopefully, this will be the last of the monthly updates while we try and finish the next version of the app.

MyCal 2010 & Feb wallpapers

February 1, 2010

Wow the 1st of February is here already – it’ll be Xmas again soon. But a new month means a couple of new Calendar Wallpapers for your iPhone or iPod touch.

As always, they are created with out MyCal app which allows you to superimpose a monthly calendar over the wallpaper image of your choice. We’ve just released a temporary update which includes February 2010 while we work on adding some new features. To be honest we were also waiting to see what Apple announced last week and hoping for some juicy new iPhone features we could incorporate but no such luck.

What do you think about a version of MyCal for the iPad? We could certainly fit a lot more info on there…

Anyway, you can read all about MyCal here or buy a copy here.

Happy New Year!

January 1, 2010

We just thought we’d take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy New Year! Let’s hope it’s a good one for all of you…

And let’s start it off with a couple of new calendar wallpapers for your iPhone or iPod touch. As per usual, these were made with MyCal, which we’ve just updated to cover January 2010. We’ll be updating again shortly to cover the rest of 2010 and add some new features.

Read all about it here or buy a copy here.
